Outcomes Manager Release 2023.31

Outcomes Manager Release 2023.31 contains the following:

  • Sharing Dashboards with Practices
    You can now share Widget Dashboards with practices in your locality who are contributing data.

    This enables the practices to view their figures against the average for the locality.

    Note - In this example, Grey was chosen for the Average values.

  • Sharing Dashboards with Organisations
    Super Users can now share Dashboards with Organisations, for example, a federation.

  • Outcomes Manager User Assistance
    The link to the User Assistance has been updated, and now takes you to the relevant section of the Help.

    For example, if you select Help when using Reporting, you are taken straight to the Reporting section.

  • Unsaved Changes Notification

    If you are making changes to an entry form on the right hand side of Outcomes Manager, and close without saving your changes, a notification displays "Do you want to discard your changes?".

Reporting

  • Widget Dashboard

    • Date Ranges
      Global date ranges can now be selected and applied when viewing the Dashboard.
      When defining date ranges, you can now choose from: Earliest, Latest or All dates.

    • Sharing Dashboards
      You can now share a Dashboard with all practices contributing data, the practice can view their data against the average.

    • Patient Drilldown
      Patient demographic data is now available for total counts, along with individual indicators.

GDPR Updates

To comply with GDPR the following changes have been made to Outcomes Manager:

  • Collection & Management of Data Policy
    This displays in all Data Sharing Agreements.

  • Deletion of Data
    Practice data is automatically deleted in the event of:

    • The practice being removed from the Distribution List of a Pathway.

    • The practice is added to the Exclusion list of a Pathway.

    • The practice becomes Inactive.

    • When a Pathway is removed from Service Management or made Obsolete in Administration.

  • Data Protection Message
    A notification displays prior to viewing patient identifiable data.

Service Management

  • Distribution
    The Exclusion List is now part of the Distribution options.
    There is now a separate option, VA Distribution for distributing Pathways to Vision Anywhere users.

SMS Dashboard

  • The SMS Dashboard has been redesigned to improve ease of use and reflect the new design of Outcomes Manager introduced last year.

    To simplify the Administration functions, new Administrator roles have been created.

    The User List has been updated, and the user's title removed to make it easier to find users.

      After editing a user, the user remains selected.
      After editing a user and saving the changes, you can search for another user without closing the Edit User box.

2022 - Outcomes Manager Release 2022.11

Outcomes Manager Release 2022.11 contains the following:

  • App Launcher
    The App Launcher is available from the upper left corner of all Outcomes Manager views for ease of navigation.

    This enables you to launch new Apps, access recently used documents and create a new document such as a Workflow, Guideline or Reporting Dashboard.
  • Dashboard - Recent Documents
    The Welcome page Documents section now includes any recently accessed Pathways and Reports, along with Guidelines.
  • Admin App Redesign
    The Admin App has been updated to make it easier to navigate:

  • Reporting Dashboard
    The New Dashboard view has been redesigned, and includes new Widgets. This simplifies designing a Widget Dashboard which offers a visual representation of data from single or multiple pathways.

Settings

  • Display Preferences can be customised by user account to utilise Outcomes Manager in a single tab (default) or opening new tabs per app.

Enhancements to Workflows and Guidelines:

  • Create Templates for Guidelines
    There is now an option to produce a template which can be used to create further guidelines.

    You can now easily see details of links between guidelines and workflows.

  • Import PDF
    A new import option enables you to import the textual content of PDF documents into a Guideline.

    A PDF can be uploaded and embedded into a Guideline.

  • When searching for a Workflow or Guideline you can now search on All users instead of selecting a specific author.
  • Sign Off function is now included in the publishing process of a Workflow or Guideline to ensure validity.
    This option can be disabled in Properties.

  • The visual indication of the active Workflow Node can now be customised in Administration > Viewer Styles to be more prominent.

  • Autosave is now enabled on all existing Workflows and Guidelines.

Automatic Timeout

  • A Timeout Message displays following 60 minutes inactivity to alert you before the automatic timeout.

    Note - If you have unsaved changes in Workflows and Guidelines a check box displays Save any unsaved changes, select to save changes.
  • When you are timed out due to inactivity a message displays.

  • If you are still active in your web browser outside of Outcomes Manager, your session will not timeout.

Review App

  • The order of the buttons on the toolbar have been changed.

  • You can now filter comments by Open, Resolved or Any.

  • An additional check box Show all Comments displays all comments within the guideline.
  • There is a new option to Resolve comments instead of deleting them.
  • A view option to toggle including Resolved comments.
  • An alert displays if a comment has been edited.

  • The size of the text in the review comments box has been increased.

2020 - Outcomes Manager Release 2020.21

  • The data functionality has moved to the 'Reporting Module to improve the navigation of Outcomes Manager and enhance usability.

    For organisations who use the Service Management, this will have little or no impact.

    If you still require access to viewing data, please contact the Outcomes Manager Service Desk on 0330 303 3337 and request an update to your Outcomes Manager licenses.

    Once activated, you will see an additional Reporting module available on your Outcomes Manager Home screen

  • Outcomes Manager now has improved search options available from the Home screen and Tile specific screens.
  • The Service Management Dashboard has a new look.
  • Central reporting is now called Reporting. It has a new look and new features; Age bands and viewing patient demographics as part of report numbers (For consented practices\ patients)
  • The scheduling service has been updated.
  • You can search for broken web links in Workflows. An opened Workflow will also highlight a broken web link.
  • Practices can now manage and share templates and view their own Outcomes Manager data, using Outcomes Manager for GP's.

Previous updates:

  • Your personalised Home Page now lists all your files under the Documents heading. This improves accessibility to your files.  
  • The Merge\ Delete\ Add data functions have now been moved to the Open (All Central Extracts) screen
  • When Designing a Workflow you can now see and link items directly into the Related Information screen. This gives authors the ability to view exactly what the end users will see during design time, rather than having to keep switching back and forth to the previous screen.
  • A new Specification Manager section is available for authors to record and attach Workflow design material. This cannot be viewed externally and is for Author use only.
  • You Tube videos can now be embedded into Guidelines.
  • Deleting pathways and codesets help has been updated.
  • A new section called Advanced Pathway Development has been created.
